Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

Alternative Adult Education Center

At this Alternative Adult Education Center cafeteria the linoleum had become so dirty from all the traffic  from the asphalt out front. We spent 12 hours after closing stripping the old wax, steaming and resealing all the flooring. After 6 coats of sealant the floors had that shiny new look again. Sealants, despite not having great strength, convey a number of properties. They seal top structures to the substrate, and are particularly effective in waterproofing processes by keeping moisture out. They can provide thermal and acoustical insulation, and may serve as fire barriers. Sealants can also be used for simple smoothing or filling. They are often used to perform several of these functions at once.
